Are the cosmetics paraben-free?

A long-term effect of parabens in cosmetics has not yet been sufficiently researched. Certain parabens are used as preservatives in cosmetic products and are increasingly considered critical. For this reason, no parabens are intentionally added in the production of our cosmetic products. Our cosmetic products are harmless to health when used as intended. The production is based on the current Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 and thus complies with the legal requirements.

Are there also make-up cases with natural cosmetic products in the range?

Our ZMILE COSMETICS sets contain conventional cosmetic products; we do not offer natural cosmetic products. Even though we do not have any natural cosmetic products in our range, the best product quality and thus the compatibility of the products has the highest priority for us.

Can the cosmetic products cause allergic reactions?

Our articles do not contain any added fragrances. We are also not aware of any allergic reactions. The composition of our cosmetic products meets the highest quality requirements, which is why we strictly ensure, for example, that no substances are used in the production process that are known to cause an allergic skin reaction in humans. This strict requirement is ensured in the safety assessment carried out on our behalf by an independent expert. You can see this in the declaration on the product label or in our information on this website, as allergenic substances would have to be listed there. Unfortunately, for the rare individual case, these requirements do not exclude the possibility that an allergic skin reaction may nevertheless occur, since humans, due to their very complex immune system, can react allergically to practically all substances (perhaps with the exception of water) to a greater or lesser extent in principle. In this case, the only option is to stop using the cosmetic product in question; unfortunately, this allergic reaction is not foreseeable, so that it cannot be included in the safety assessment required by cosmetics law and taken into account accordingly.

How long can I use cosmetic products after opening?

On the packaging of each product there is a symbol of an opened jar. The number inside the pictured jar indicates how long the product will keep after it is first opened. For example, if it says '12 M', the cosmetic product has a shelf life of 12 months after the first opening/use.

Are the cosmetics tested in a laboratory?

Of course, the cosmetics are tested in accredited laboratories. Our products are tested before, during and after production in independent laboratories and naturally comply with the current European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009.

Where are the make-up cases and make-up sets made?

Our products are mainly produced in China. The production of our cosmetic products is carried out in accordance with the currently valid European Cosmetics Regulation EC (1223/2009). Our manufacturers produce in accordance with the international GMP ('Good Manufacturing Practice') regulations. This regulates, among other things, requirements for hygiene, premises, equipment, documentation and controls.

Are the products also suitable for children?

Our cosmetic sets are not designed for children and are not toys. However, trying out the sets is of course no problem, as they are harmless to health.

Is it possible to buy individual components?

No, unfortunately that's not possible. But maybe you can find something suitable in a small set as a replacement. Or use the first case for your hobby or jewellery.

Were animal experiments carried out for the production?

Of course we reject animal testing - out of conviction, but also because it is forbidden by law to test cosmetic products on animals. The regulation (EU Cosmetics Regulation) (EC) 1223/2009 applies throughout Europe and stipulates that finished cosmetic products marketed within the EU must comply with this regulation. It may be confusing that many products on the market are labelled with claims and symbols in this respect. We refrain from doing so because compliance with legal requirements is a matter of course and must not be advertised additionally.

Are the products vegan?

The awareness regarding the ingredients is also very important for us. Therefore, most of our cosmetics are already vegan. Wherever this is not yet the case, we are working to change this as much as possible so that you can use our sets with a clear conscience.
